The installation and operation of one Capstone C65 microturbine has helped reduce odor in the surrounding atmosphere and produces enough energy to heat the facility, pump water, and run the ventilation system at Swineline Farm, an anaerobic waste treatment plant running on pig manure in South Africa. The single-unit installation has reduced electricity usage on the farm by at least 30 percent.
